The National Parks: America’s Best Idea by Ken Burns
Website here.
A six-episode series on PBS. Havent seen it yet but would like to.
Ok, so maybe not inspiring, but entertaining at least !
Travel Channel host Adam Richman travels around the United States sampling some of America’s best cuisine on Man vs. Food.
I’ve visited the Man v. Food locations below and haven’t been disappointed with the selections. Even if you’re not interested in the particular food challenges (think: spicy hot wings! 2lb burritos!), the local fare is very good and it’s fun to see different parts of the country. But, it’s no surprise Americans are fat and wasteful when you see some of these menus.
St. Louis: Pappy’s Smokehouse, Iron Barley, Crown Candy Kitchen
Memphis: Kooky Canuck (Formerly Big Foot Lodge)
Portland, Ore: Voodoo Donut
Austin: Juan in a Million
greatest job ever? Sundance Channel — premieres Oct 7
Claiming he has the “greatest job in the world,” Keith Johnson, buyer-at-large for the upscale retailer Anthropologie, invites viewers along on an international treasure hunt on the Sundance Channel original series, MAN SHOPS GLOBE. In out-of-the-way antique shops, private dealerships and craft stalls, Johnson looks for one-of-a-kind home furnishings and accessories that will reach consumers in Anthropologie outlets, or inspire the company’s design and manufacturing team.
In each half-hour program, Keith travels to a new country in search of fantastic and unusual decorative objects, furniture, and textiles. He also seeks out the world’s best artists and crafts people. MAN SHOPS GLOBE follows Johnson, who travels six months of the year, to ends-of-the-earth excursions, from flea markets in Paris to remote villages in India and obscure art studios in Turkey.

This is from last week’s “So You Think You Can Dance” on FOX featuring Tyce DiOrio’s choreography, drawing attention to the turmoil of a woman struggling with breast cancer, and its effects on her partner. Performed by Melissa and Ade.
This show is addicting.
Update: OK that link isnt working anymore but you can see it here too.
Glee on Fox
Im excited about this new show. Hooked me on the preview. By Ryan Murphy, the director of Nip/Tuck.
USA hit Burn Notice inspires me to at least want to go to Miami. Or become a spy.
Yo Gabba Gabba!
A kid’s show that’s pretty cool. With rappers (Biz’s Beat of the Day), Elijah Wood, Aquabats, it’s entertaining for adults too!
